THE JAMAICAN KITCHEN was established in the British Virgin Islands in 2007. Two years prior to this, it was just an "idea" which is pretty much how most businesses got started. What's interesting about this story however, is the fact that the "idea" originated with an Antiguan by the name of Lucette Doram, who convinced Diane Lewis, her Jamaican friend and co-worker at the time, that an eatery specialising in Jamaican-Style cuisine would add an interesting twist to the variety of foods already available in the BVI. Diane then sold the "idea" to her husband Kenrick Lewis and the rest is history. Apparently, Lucette was right!
Now in it's seventh year of operation, THE JAMAICAN KITCHEN not only boasts some of the best tasting food in the BVI, but has also made it possible and convenient for persons to place their lunch order and have it delivered FREE, FREE, FREE right to their location (Road Town and environs) - be it an office, a private home or a construction site.
